Kamloops Innovation AI Program to Help Businesses Apply AI Into Their Services

Major tech company, Kamloops Innovation has launched a groundbreaking initiative to support local businesses in embracing AI technology. Combining their efforts with Thompson Rivers University students, the Kamloops Innovation AI Program will assist in AI adoption among smaller businesses. This will include educational events, workshops, and personalized mentorship sessions will be offered, as announced in a recent press release by Kamloops Innovation.

What is the Goal of the Kamloops Innovation AI Program?

Kamloops Innovation emphasized this program’s capabilities of helping small and medium-sized businesses within the Kamloops area. They highlighted how they have personalized their services based on the needs of smaller businesses.

This will provide accessible pathways for these businesses to learn about and implement AI tools in their services. This will be done through hands-on guidance so businesses can confidently navigate the complexities of AI integration, unlocking its transformative potential within their operations.

These services include automating tasks, analyzing data, and providing employee assistance. More importantly, they hope to provide the Kamloops Innovation AI Program without requiring extensive coding assistance on the business part.

“Embracing Artificial Intelligence is no longer an option, but an essential avenue for maintaining a competitive edge in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. Our initiative promises to enhance capacity in the business and industrial sectors across Kamloops and its neighbouring regions.”

– Michael Andrews, executive director of Kamloops Innovation

The Kamloops Innovation AI Program is not backed by the business alone. They partnered up with the computer science and engineering students from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) to help with their services.

These students will play a pivotal role in providing technological literacy among businesses in the program. They provide hands-on workshops and tailored technology education support to help business owners and employees learn how to use the tools provided to them.

TRU students will provide invaluable resources as they have all the expertise to allow these people to harness the full potential of AI.

“Businesses will have the opportunity to learn how to navigate, use and apply these new tools and platforms, and our students gain valuable experience by supporting them in learning to create powerful, customizable tools.”

– Musfiq Rahman, chair of the department of computing science in Thompson Rivers University.

The Picture Beyond Kamloops Innovation AI Program

They came together to provide comprehensive educational programs across British Columbia. These initiatives aim to equip businesses with the essential skills, resources, and tools necessary in the dynamic landscape of technology-driven industries. Through collaborative efforts, Kamloops Innovation and its counterparts are paving the way for a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and growth in the province.
