Foundever-Adamson MOA Provides BPO Training for High School and College Students

Foundever remains one of the global leaders in the customer experience (CX) industry and one of the largest BPOs. They have also signed a new memorandum of agreement to provide BPO training to students to prepare them for a life in the workforce.

They parted up with the highly respected Adamson University, hoping to empower their students with the knowledge of what to expect once they graduate. They believe this training will provide them an advantage in today’s difficult job market.

Purpose of This BPO Training

According to Adamson University, the purpose of this agreement is to provide the students with the desirable skills in the job market so they can easily obtain a job. While a diploma is important for BPOs, having practical skills like coding, web development, editing, and content creation skills are even more important.

These skills are what clients are looking for and they are not always taught in school. This is where the BPO training comes in. By providing it to students directly, BPOs can cultivate the next generation and find promising students. This ensures that they can provide all the requirements for their clients.

Coinciding BPO Training Programs

Alongside this partnership, this program also coincides with an existing BPO program called the BPO Immersion and Training for Senior High School (BITS) program. This program targeted 30 senior high students who were also trained by experts on what to do in the BPO industry.

This program teaches students practical skills in a 10-day training session where they can get their first taste of what working in a BPO works like. They will learn different skills that can help them handle tasks for their clients.

“The success of the BITS program, along with this MOA, are truly manifestations of the power, effectiveness, and life-changing benefit that results from combining academic and industry expertise. We look forward to further collaborations with Adamson University,”

-Jephte Moneda, Foundever Sourcing Director

Among the organizers of this program and who signed the MOA were Foundever Sourcing Directors Jephte Moneda and Joy Dela Cruz for the BPO. Meanwhile, Adamson University officials included Anna Valentine Morales, Head of Career and Placement; and Dr. Celso Mangaoil Jr., Director of the Center for Guidance, Counseling, Placement, and Testing Services.

How BPOs Benefit from BPO Training Programs

Although this BPO training program is only targeting a handful of students and includes one BPO, it is a promising sign that can help the entire industry as a whole. BPO services require a certain set of skills that take time to cultivate and develop.

Starting students early allows them to learn throughout their education and focus on which skills work best. That way by the time they graduate, they have some basic experience in this industry and are mentally prepared to start working. For BPOs, this provides them with a high-quality workforce that can handle more tasks.

Beyond the skills themselves, this also gives the students knowledge of the workforce, culture, and requirements of a BPO. This allows them to make an informed decision on whether or not they want to work there. Outsourcing services, ensure that only the students who truly want to be there will enter the workforce.

And knowledge works in both ways as outsourcing experts as they have a chance to observe future employees’ work and see who might have the skills to make it in the industry.
